Day 7
Kochi

Unfortunately, we say goodbye to you today. Transfer in private vehicle with full assistance from Kumarakom to Kochi Airport for your flight home. Keep the memories alive and we hope to see you in India again soon. Stay Travelous!

India is the world's seventh-largest country. It has more than one billion inhabitants that are divided into two thousand ethnic groups and speak over 200 different languages. Given its size and population, India has an endless variety of cultures, landscapes, monuments and places to explore. Be it the ancient ruins, fascinating religious structures, exotic cities or diverse topography, there is an vast collection of tourist attractions that will never cease to awe and fascinate the visitor.

Taj Malabar

Drive in from the airport delighting in backseat surprises (we're not revealing here). You'll see how we mean business in a quiet efficient way from the moment you drive in. Get set to be delighted with small surprises from the moment you enter. Our lobby is a unique mix of chic and classic. This arrival zone sets the tone for guestrooms and banquet facilities that deliver the ultimate in urban relaxation. The heritage wing, built in 1935, has graceful Victorian interiors that aptly reflect the inherent beauty of Cochin. And the tower wing houses newly renovated guestroom suites, each a delicate mix of the classic with the contemporary. Technology is woven through it all. Vivanta by Taj - Malabar, has all the entertainment and connectivity options today's traveller requires.

Enjoy a panoramic view of the water and the island beyond. These stately rooms stretch across 420 sq ft. Take a trip down memory lane as you explore the old world charm and culture of the region all embedded in the wooden floors and carved ceilings. With king/twin bed options, hi speed Wi-Fi Internet, Elsafe, mini bar, tea/coffee maker, special built in work desks and other features. It's like travelling back to the future.

Spice Village

Spice Village is the essence of a mountain tribal village, re-imagined for the modern independent traveller. A tribute to ancient ways of life. And to one man's patience and passion. Curling around a misty ridge 2,000ft high in the Periyar vastness, we found a ranger's home, with fruit trees, rare herbs and a profusion of flowering plants. And here, we set out to build a resort. A village, produced whole, using mountain spirit and tribal wisdom as building material. Of course, the comforts of a modern hotel exist, but they never intrude. Modern plumbing, comfortable beds and hot showers find their place, but in a setting stripped down to its natural essence. Hewn stone replaces shag carpets. Birdsong takes the place of television. Air-conditioning? Unnecessary anyway in the fine mountain climate and what would it do but mask the heady scents of spice wafting through the air?

Take in the beauty of the classy Deluxe Villas, spacious and airy with bare stone floors and local woodcraft. Tremendous comfort and sheer elegance define these vast accomodations, harmoniously designed with the stunning surrounding nature. No artificial airconditioned spaces here. Just cool, naturally lit rooms and airy private porches. So open a window, and your mind as well. And let your senses be enveloped by the sounds and scents wafting in on the forest air.

The Zuri Kumarakom

The Zuri Kumarakom, a luxury resort, spa and luxury hotel, cradles on the banks of India's longest lake, the Vembanad Lake. Spread across a magnificent 205 square kilometers, the lake traverses several districts of Kerala, the south Indian state, called God's own country. Set on the backwaters of Kumarakom offers you an 18-acre piece of paradise nestled on the lush shores of Vembanad lake, & soothing luxuries you can revel in. A hearty meal facing the lagoon, a swim in the sun-kissed pool, a dip in your private plunge pool or an afternoon at Maya spa for some authentic Ayurvedic therapies, take your pick. At The Zuri Kumarakom Resort and Spa, there is short of luxuries to treat you.

The luxurious Zuri Room offers a king-sized bed or twin beds, and comes with a private, lush verandah and a breathtaking view of the lagoon.
