Port of Dubai: Full Day Tour
From $199 pp
Welcome to Dubai! Upon disembarkation from your cruise line and clearance from immigration, you are met by our Travelous representative at the arrivals area. We proceed for a full day tour which begins with the visit to the Al Fahidi Fort which houses the Dubai Museum. Galleries recreate scenes from the Creek, traditional Arab houses, mosques, the souk, date farms, deserts and marine life. After the museum, we move ahead to cross the creek by traditional ABRA (boat) to reach Dubai"s Gold & Spice Souks - a favorite for all travelers.
Your morning continues with a drive along the skyscraper area of Sheikh Zayed Road, also referred to as the "Little Manhattan". We pass by the Emirates Towers and the Dubai World Trade Centre, continuing the short drive along the Jumeirah beach to visit Jumeirah mosque (which can be viewed from outside or we can visit inside; closed Monday, Wednesday, and Friday). It is one of the largest and most beautiful Mosque of Dubai and considered a prominent landmark of the city. We then continue our drive through the new Marina projects, Internet City, Media City and the Emirates Hills project and a visit to The Palm Islands.
This is followed by a Monorail ride from the Gateway station to Atlantis giving you a glimpse of the upcoming structures around Dubai Marina, the world"s biggest waterfront development. This scenic ride comes to an end with our return to the mainland. The drive continues past the Marina Project, venturing into the Madinat Souq. This place features unique wind towers and domes, a wonderful mix of major retailers, restaurants and coffee shops; all set within an Arabian style landscape.
After the Souq, we head downtown to stop for lunch and some shopping at the Dubai Mall - the world"s largest.
End your day with a visit to the iconic Burj Khalifa - the tallest building in the world. You"re visit begins in the reception area on the lower ground level of The Dubai Mall. Here and throughout your journey, you will be entertained and informed by a i-media presentation that chronicles Dubai"s exotic history and the fascinating story of Burj Khalifa. Begin your vertical ascent to the observation deck in a high-speed elevator, travelling at 10 meters per second. As the doors open, floor-to-ceiling glass walls provide a breath-taking unobstructed 360-degree view of the city, the desert and the ocean. By night, sparkling lights and stars compete for your attention.
After descending the Burj Khalifa, return transfer provided in private vehicle to your cruise ship. Keep the memories alive and we hope to see you again in Dubai. Stay Travelous!
United Arab Emirates comprises seven monarchical emirates: Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain and Fujairah; each unique in its own way and complementing to the rich heritage and culture of the UAE. All emirates lie on the western coast except for Fujairah which entirely lies on the eastern coast. In addition to being one of the fastest growing countries on the planet and its pristine coastline on the Arabian Gulf, the UAE is most notably known for its two largest emirates: Abu Dhabi, the capital, and Dubai, home of the world's tallest free standing structure - the Burj Khalifa.
