Upon arrival at the airport, you will be greeted by one of our local Travelous, English-speaking representatives who will be holding a sign with your name printed on it. Your representative will escort you to the hotel and assist you with check-in.

The culturally and architecturally rich Kathmandu stands at an elevation of approximately 1,400 metres (4,600 ft) in the bowl-shaped Kathmandu Valley of central Nepal. It lies at the crossroads of ancient civilizations of Asia and is known as the "City of Temples" because of its numerous and unique temples. The city has a profound history, spanning nearly 2000 years, as inferred from inscriptions found in the valley. Religious and cultural festivities form a major part of the lives of people residing in Kathmandu.

(Note:Tourist Visa can be obtained upon arrival at the airport)

In the morning you will be picked up by our driver and personal guide at your hotel. We will start today's tour by driving to Khokana.

We drive south until we reach Khokana. Khokana is a small Newari Village located just 6 kilometres from Patan. Khokana is a small village in which traditional craftsmanship still takes an important role. Villagers can often be seen spinning, winnowing and crushing mustard seeds. Especially the latter is what Khokana is most famous for, it's mustard oil. The village has a broad street leading into its centre. On the left side the three storey Shree Rudrayani temple can be seen.

After exploring Khokana we will walk to Bungmati. This is an approximately 20 minutes walk through on the road dividing the agricultural land. Bungmati, just like Khokana, is a Newari village where traditional life still can be seen. The village houses the typical Newari buildings and has an interesting main square where one can view the Ganesh Temple and the Machhindranath Temple.

Before starting our sightseeing tour in Patan we will enjoy a typical newari lunch in one of the local restaurants. The Patan Durbar Square is also known as Lalitpur Durbar Square .Patan Durbar Square is home to the former Patan Royal Family. Main attractions at this square include the Krishna temple with its 21 golden pinnacles, Rudra Varna Mahavihar; the Buddhist monastery which houses the local treasures and the central courtyard; Mul Chowk.

Day 3
Kathmandu - Nagarkot

After breakfast our morning excursion begins in Kathmandu valley. You will be taken to Swayambhunath first. This monastery/temple has an incomparable atmosphere. It is situated amidst a beautiful natural scenario on the top of the hill surrounded by several other hills. The whole Kathmandu Valley can be viewed quite clearly from the top of the hill.

After that you will be taken to Kathmandu Durbar Square, Pashupatinath Temple, and Boudhhanath Stupa. In Pashupatinath temple you will observe different ceremonies and the ways of worshipping. The most interesting scene here is the cremation place on the edge of the river and next to the temple. You can see how the funeral taking place according to Hindu Culture. After this we will proceed to Bhaktapur, one of the medieval cities. Most popularly Bhaktapur is known as the living museum because of its traditional lifestyle and Newari culture .In Bhaktapur we will visit beautiful buildings with ancient arts and architecture like the highest temple in Nepal and many other attractions. Besides the touristic places, we will walk through the "local"bstreets within the city which will give an impression of local life style and daily activities. During our city tour we will enjoy a lunch in a restaurant where they serve traditional local dishes.

From Bhaktapur we will driver further to Nagarkot where we will spend the night in a hotel. Nagarkot is situated amidst the beautiful natural scenario of the Everest Mountain Range. With clear skies it is possible to observe the Mount Everest and the other large mountains of the North Eastern Himalayas.

Nagarkot

You will be woken up early in the morning before breakfast to view the breathtaking sunrise. After that we will proceed to the hotel for breakfast and prepare for a short hike. During hiking you will view a panoramic natural scenario along with the Mount Everest and some other snow capped mountains.

Our hike will be of an easy level and should be suitable for all in the surrounding villages. You can communicate with the local people which will surely boost your energy for further hiking. During our hike we will take a rest and enjoy our lunch. After approximately 6 to7 hours hiking, we will be back at the hotel.

Day 5
Kathmandu

Unfortunately, we say goodbye to you today. A Travelous representative and private vehicle will transfer you to Kathmandu airport and offer full assistance there the journey is about 1 hour from Nagarkot. Keep the memories alive and hope to see you again in Nepal. Stay Travelous!

For a day out, the hotel also provides a city shuttle service, car rentals and a tour desk.

Such as the "Ashtamangala" or the eight auspicious signs that hang above the bed.   • Airfare to/from the Tour start point, including domestic or inter-country connecting flights, unless otherwise stated in itinerary.
  • tips and gratuities
  • items of a personal nature such as incidentals, excess baggage charges
  • airport taxes/entrance fees, port charges, foreign government departure taxes
  • Visas (unless otherwise indicated), Inspection, Customs, Immigration and Naturalization fees Additional fuel surcharges on cruises
  • Travel Insurance including Medical, Lost Baggage and Trip cancellation
  • Optional activities (golf, watersports, etc.)
  • any other activities or items not explicitly advertised as included in the price of a Tour

 

Reservations/Booking and Deposits:  To book a Tour, each Traveler (or leader of a Group of Travelers) must submit:

 

A.     A completed booking form signed electronically by the main Traveler. By submitting the booking form on the payments page, the traveler accepts our full Terms and Conditions.  

B.     A deposit of 30% of the Tour price (minimum $250 per person), is due immediately upon booking.

C.     The full balance of the trip cost is due ninety days (90) before the trip departure date.

D.      If you book your trip with us ninety days (90 days) or less before the departure date, the full cost of the trip is due at that time.

E.      In the instance payment is made by certified check or wire transfer, reservations will only commence once the check is cleared.

F.      Availability of Services and Accommodations cannot be guaranteed until a Tour is booked.  We will exercise our best efforts to book the Services and Accommodations described in the Tour Itinerary, however, in busy seasons and with client bookings made within 90 days of Tour date, we may be forced to offer substitutes.  In this instance we will notify you as soon as possible and try to substitute comparable Services and Accommodations based on availability.

G.     Ticketing & credit card processing for international transport and other select domestic airfare pertaining to a specific country is done by a 3rd party and not included in your total land package price unless otherwise stated.

H.     Cancellations of confirmed bookings 90 days or more prior to departure will receive full refund minus a $250 (per person) administrative fee and any non-refundable paid fees (e.g. non-refundable airfare, cruise or hotel deposits). 60-89 days will be subject to loss of 30% of program price. 30-59 days will be subject to loss of 50% of program price. 29 days or less will be subject to loss of 100% of program price.

       *NOTE: Certain destinations require a 30% non-refundable deposit at the time of booking and therefore, would supersede our standard cancellation policy prior to 90 days in this instance.
